Exciting times are ahead as the Mental Health Inpaitent Unit (MHIPU), currently located in Wards 6 & 7 at Whangarei Hospital start preparing for their move to the new unit “Tumanako”.
The Whangarei Hospital Redevelopment Project Office and Mental Health admin staff have been planning the upcoming migration for months. Now the countdown is on until the boxes arrive and items can start to be packed.
The migration will be a staged process with phase 1 of the move on Monday 10 October 2011:
